Medicaid

The Importance of Dental Health Insurance

Underprivileged Access to Dental Care: In today’s society, dental health is a significant concern for individuals across all socioeconomic classes. Unfortunately, many people cannot afford the latest dental treatments. This is where government-funded insurance, such as Medicaid, plays a crucial role. It ensures equal distribution of healthcare benefits among underprivileged members of society.

The Impact of Dental Ailments

  1. Untreated Tooth Decay: Decaying teeth can lead to abscesses, infections, sleep deprivation, malnutrition, and low self-esteem.
  2. Periodontal Disease: Periodontal disease is linked to cardiovascular disease, cancer, and potentially life-threatening consequences.
  3. Smoking and Diabetes: Smoking, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease have detrimental effects on oral health.
  4. Pregnant Females: Periodontal disease in pregnant females can result in preterm delivery.

The Influence of Dental Health on Social Intelligence

Researchers have found that poor dental health can negatively affect job interviews and employment opportunities. Social intelligence is often based on the aesthetics of one’s teeth. Thus, securing dental insurance becomes crucial for individuals seeking financial and social security during challenging times.
